Homecoming
Bringing your Cavapoo puppy home in Singapore
By Nelson and Kim, AVS licensed pet shop owners · Updated 12 July 2026
When can a Cavapoo puppy come home?
At around nine weeks old, about a week after its second vaccination on the 6-8-12 week schedule. If your home is not ready, we board the puppy free for up to a month after deposit, vaccinations continuing at our cost, and deliver when you are, usually a morning or evening slot.

What we handle at delivery
Delivery day is not a doorstep drop. We assemble the playpen in the spot you chose, set up the bed, tray and bowls inside it, and walk you through every item in the 30-piece kit: which shampoo for which situation, how the training spray works, where the odor remover earns its keep. Ten minutes of demonstration replaces a month of guessing.
You also receive the paperwork folder: vaccination record for weeks 6 and 8, deworming log, microchip details and the completed licence. Nothing to regularise later; the boring admin is done before the puppy explores the sofa.
Your prep list is the flat, not the shops
Families ask for a shopping list; ours is short because the kit covers the buying. What only you can do: tuck or box cables (teething finds them first), lift toxic plants out of reach, store shoes behind doors, agree the house rules before the puppy arrives, which words for which commands, who feeds when, and whether the sofa is allowed. Inconsistency, not naughtiness, is the first-month villain.
The first 48 hours, hour by boring hour
Arrive, toilet tray first, then pen. Short gentle introductions, one household member at a time. Meals on the schedule we hand over, tray visits after every meal and nap, and long stretches of letting the puppy sleep. Night one: pen beside the bed, warm toy inside, calm boring responses to crying. The goal of the whole weekend is a puppy that learned nothing exciting happens here, and slept well.
Before the doorbell rings
- Cables tucked, plants lifted, shoes stored
- Pen corner chosen: quiet, no afternoon sun
- House rules agreed by every family member
- Week-12 vet visit noted in the calendar
- First training lesson slot shortlisted
Frequently asked questions
When can a Cavapoo puppy come home in Singapore?
At about nine weeks old, a week after the second vaccination. Core jabs run at weeks 6, 8 and 12 with deworming each visit, so your puppy arrives with two vaccinations done and the third scheduled with your own vet.
What should I buy before my Cavapoo arrives?
From us, almost nothing: the 30-item starter kit covers pen, bed, carrier, bowls, kibble, toilet training, grooming and toys, and we assemble it at your home. Your prep list is the flat itself: cables tucked, plants lifted, shoes stored, one quiet pen corner chosen.
What should the first 48 hours look like?
Boring, on purpose. Home, pen, toilet tray, short calm introductions, meals on schedule, lots of naps. No visitors parade, no mall trip, no bath. A puppy that sleeps through its first weekend has learned the most important lesson: this home is safe and predictable.
Should the puppy sleep in our bedroom the first week?
Pen beside the bed for the first few nights, then migrate the pen gradually to its permanent spot. It cuts the week-one crying dramatically and costs nothing but floor space; going cold-turkey in the kitchen restarts the clock most nights.
When is the first vet visit after homecoming?
Week 12, for the third vaccination and deworming; we remind you as it approaches. Unless something worries you earlier, that is the first trip, and within the first 5 days any sickness means bring the puppy back to us for nursing instead.
