How much should I feed a Cavapoo puppy?
Feed small-breed puppy kibble three times daily until about six months, then twice daily for life, following the gram table on the bag against your puppy's current weight. The practical check beats the maths: ribs easy to feel, waist visible from above, energy steady.
The feeding schedule by age

Corridors assume a mini-sized 5 to 10kg frame; toy Cavapoos, most of ours, track the lower rows. Your kibble's own gram table against current weight is the authority. Treats count inside the daily total, not on top.
The picky-eater fix, before the habit forms
Cavapoo owners' forums are full of gourmet hostage negotiations: hand-feeding, toppers, three flavours rejected by Tuesday. The pattern almost always starts the same way, a skipped meal answered with something tastier. The dog learned that refusing pays.
The unglamorous fix: mealtimes fixed, bowl down for fifteen minutes, up again without commentary, nothing between meals but training treats. A healthy puppy rejoins the programme within days. The exception that matters: refusal plus low energy, vomiting or loose stool is a vet visit, not a standoff.
Water, weather and the water bottle
In our climate, water management is part of feeding. Fresh water in the pen around the clock, a second bowl if your flat runs warm afternoons, and the kit's outdoor bottle on every walk past fifteen minutes. Kibble-fed dogs drink more than fresh-fed ones; an emptying bowl is normal, a suddenly full one is worth noticing.
